Hello everyone!

I adore cats, and have lived with them pretty much my entire life--until recently when my pretty Russian Blue passed away.

I've been recently looking into cat breeds, and I think that I would like to learn more about cat shows to see if this would be something I'd like to do. Right now, it's an interest and a fancy, but I take good care of cats and I'd like to show that fact off.

Any suggestions for resources on where to go to learn more, and perhaps get involved?

Talk to breeders. Get to know the various breeds and see which one(s) catch your fancy. If you think that cat showing is something you may be interested in, ask a breeder, whose cats you like the looks of, if they have any kittens, cats, or retired breeding cats that might make a good competitive candidate in the Alter class. Our first Premiership CFA regional winner was a cat that had been shown as a whole cat, but the breeder didn't need in her breeding program. She neutered him and we had a wonderful time showing him! He was already used to the show hall so it was even better than starting out with a kitten.
